According to the incident report from BCSO, a local business owner notified deputies that he believed a new employee was a registered sex offender, and had an active warrant. The owner stated that he talked privately with Wilcoxon before he was hired, and informed him that he would have to pass a background check. At that time, Wilcoxon failed to disclose that he was a sex offender.
The owner told deputies the address that Wilcoxon would be working at, in case there was an active warrant.
A short time later, deputies were informed by another local business owner that he had a registered sex offender, named Phillip Wilcoxon employed with his business, and the employee never disclosed that he was a registered sex offender. The owner said that he had located Wilcoxon’s Snapchat account, which was also not registered.
Deputies discovered that there was an active warrant. Deputies then went to the address given to them by the business owner, and Wilcoxon was there. The warrant was served without issue.
Wilcoxon is being charged with failure to comply with registration and reporting requirements. He is being held in the Baxter County Detention Center with bond set at $15,000.
