The Oakland Area Improvement Association (OAIA) has partnered with the Promised Land Community Center (PLACO) to host Taco Tuesday from 5 to 7 located at 6178 Promise Land Road adjacent to the fire station.
The cost will be $12 per person and will include a taco bar and an alcohol free margarita bar. The profits will go towards PLACO’s Dream Big Fundraiser.
Wanda Dissmeyer who serves on the association says events like these are part of a new iniative to strengthen the community of Oakland.

The OAIA will also host a farmer’s market every Saturday from 8 until noon at the Oakland Community Center. The market will include sourdough bread, raw milk, eggs, cream, butter, fruits and vegetables as well as yearling calves on site.
