MADISON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Madison County Chancery judge ruled in favor of the City of Madison in an annexation dispute with the City of Gluckstadt.

The Madison County Journal reported Tuesday’s ruling grants Madison the control of more than 4.64 miles of unincorporated territory. This includes a commercial corridor along the future Reunion Parkway extension, as well as the Belle Terre and Cherry Hill subdivisions.

In July 2023, the Gluckstadt Board of Aldermen voted unanimously to oppose the City of Madison’s annexation efforts.
