LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Louisville health inspectors are investigating rodent complaints at a second Jefferson County Kroger.

The Louisville FOX affiliate WDRB reported that the Louisville Health Department received reports of mouse droppings at a La Grange Road Kroger on May 5, June 6, and June 9.

Investigators did not find live mice.

This is the second rodent-related incident at a Louisville Kroger after three bread and pasta aisles were shut down due to a reported “infestation” at the Gross Avenue location.

Health department officials recommended that the La Grange grocery store thoroughly clean the affected areas, continue with pest control two to three times a week, find out where the mice are coming from, and seal the openings.

LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

Kroger has not commented on the second incident. According to WDRB, a follow-up inspection is planned for later in the week.
