ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Swimming lessons will begin soon after Adventure Cove at Rose Park in Abilene sets a record for the number of visitors who participated in swimming. In May, more than 4,000 visitors went swimming.
Swimming lessons will begin on July 8 until August 1. The cost is $80 for children and preschoolers aged ten and over.
The pool opened on May 17 for weekends only and officially began its regular season on May 27. It consistently attracts more than 400 visitors daily, with Adventure Cove’s maximum capacity set at 500. With plenty of summer left, the city is looking forward to one of the busiest days at the pool, known as Champions Day.
Champions Day is a special event where families with special needs can enjoy Adventure Cove. Guests with disabilities receive free admission, and up to four family members get a 50% discount. This event is scheduled for June 28 and July 26.
