SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – It’s Miss Louisiana week.
Thirty-nine young women from across the state will compete for more than just a crown; they will also compete for over $64,000 in college scholarships and the chance to represent Louisiana at Miss America this September.
Preliminary competitions kick off Thursday and Friday night at the W.L. “Jack” Howard Theatre at the Monroe Civic Center. The finals take place Saturday at 8 p.m. Among the contestants is Shreveport’s own Nilah Pollard, representing Miss Minden. Also taking the stage from Northwestern State University include Miss Northwestern–Lady of the Bracelet Jesse Foshee, Miss City of Lights Leah Thompson, and Miss Natchitoches Parish Makynli Delcambre.
“It is going to be such a fun-filled week, all the girls are competing in the 5 phases of competition during this Louisiana week, and we have 39 incredible contestants, so I cannot wait to watch each of them shine on that stage,” said Olivia Grace George, 2024 Miss Louisiana.
One of them could be crowned Miss Louisiana 2025 on Saturday night.
