Two Fulton County residents were killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 44 in Missouri Sunday afternoon. The two, a male age 67 and a female age 66, were from Elizabeth. Also killed in the crash were two people from Bourbon, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol does not release the names of those involved in traffic accidents.
According to the report, the accident happened when a motor home, driven by the man from Elizabeth with woman from Elizabeth as a passenger, crossed the median of the interstate and struck the vehicle with the two other victims. Both vehicles then caught fire. All four victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened on I-44 near mile marker 221, two miles east of Bourbon at 12:57 Sunday afternoon.
