CHICAGO — A man was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after he was stabbed during a fight on a CTA Red Line train on the North Side.
According to police, the incident unfolded around 3:30 a.m. on a Red Line train near the 1100 block of West Wilson Avenue, in Uptown.
Officers say the victim, a 36-year-old man was riding on the train when he was approached by an unknown individual. A fight then broke out between the two.
Amid the fight, officers said the offender pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene.
The victim suffered multiple lacerations to his body and was taken to the hospital where he was listed in fair condition.
Currently, it is unclear what led to the fight and an investigation is now underway.
