(WHTM) — June is National Employee Wellness Month, and a local business owner is looking to help people stay mentally healthy in the workplace.
Monica Gould of Mechanicsburg is the President and CEO of Strategic Consulting Partners. She works on building strategies for success in a wide variety of workplaces. She sees employees getting burned out in healthcare, construction, service, production and manufacturing industries. Gould says that leads to high turnover.
“Encouraging people to take a break during the day,” Gould said. “Have a mental decompression moment. Sometimes when you’re stressed out, it may not be. You might need to take a break at this moment, and have a full break. Not necessarily even walking around, it’s just a break whereby you can take your mind off of things and do something else.”
Strategic Consulting Partners offers free monthly “Wellness Wednesday” webinars. These are open to the public. To sign up, click here.
