I-95 Northbound closed just before Cottman Avenue due to police activity

(WPHL) — One lane of I-95 northbound is still closed just before Cottman Avenue after a heavy police presence due to a shooting.

PHL17’s Jenna Meissner reported that police officers could be seen walking up and down the road near the closure.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the closure came after a shooting at 5 a.m. at mile marker 28.6 between Aramingo Ave. and the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.

No injuries were reported.

A sign on the highway read, “Police activity just ahead, all lanes closed.”
