In the last 14 years, Gary Lee Palmer, Jr., has had a total of 11 felony cases opened on him in Baxter and Marion Counties.
The 34-year-old Palmer who lists an address in Lakeview appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday (June 2) to answer to charges in four new cases opened on him in April and May.
Palmer entered a not guilty plea and was ordered to reappear in court July 7.
Two others, 44-year-old Erin Gould and 31-year-old Sierra Campbell, were also charged based on their involvement with Palmer in incidents in which items were stolen or drugs found during a search of the house along State Highway 178 West in Lakeview that was reported to be shared by Palmer and Gould.
Campbell has also been charged solo for allegedly sneaking drugs into the Baxter County Detention Center and theft of property.
After being tipped, jail staff searched Campbells cell and found nine controlled substances.
Palmer was jailed May 9 and has been charged with multiple counts of breaking or entering, theft of property, criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Campbell faces two counts of breaking or entering, two counts of theft of property and 2nd degree criminal mischief. Gould is charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The charges stem from alleged break-ins at sheds and storage complex units as well as a search warrant served at Palmers resident.
Palmer is also charged with multiple counts of violating parole and probation.
He is also being charged as a habitual offender. Bond is set at $28,500.
Palmer was on parole at the time of his latest arrest based on a prison sentence he received on an earlier charge.
His charges in both Baxter and Marion Counties have included possessing illegal drugs and items of paraphernalia used to ingest the drugs, selling drugs, residential burglary, commercial burglary, theft of property, possessing an instrument of crime, criminal mischief, bringing drugs into the Baxter County Detention Center, selling methamphetamine to a confidential informant and fleeing.
In court records, Palmer once listed almost $16,000 in fines he owed in Marion County, Mountain Home, Flippin and Bull Shoals.
In addition to jail and prison sentences, Palmer has been sent to one of the Community Correction Centers in the state for addiction treatment and was once enrolled in the 14th Judicial District Drug Court program.
Petitions to revoke suspended sentences have been filed against Palmer. The petitions allege a variety of violations of the terms and conditions of his sentences including testing positive for drugs, associating with others involved in criminal activity, leaving transitional housing without permission, not showing up for scheduled meetings and disappearing after being released from a treatment center in Conway.
In mid-September 2012, Palmer was reported to have admitted that he had stolen copper piping from a residence to sell because he needed money to pay a bail bond company for getting him out of jail in yet another case.
