(KRON) – A bakery in the Castro District said it is “not easy being a family business in San Francisco.”
Le Marais Bakery took to social media to inform patrons that the bakery had been robbed and an explosive may have been planted Friday night, and this was not the first time.
“Our Castro location was broken into and robbed again last night, and all our tablets, registers, safe, cash from the days before, once again stolen. It seems they put an explosive on the window,” said Le Marais Bakery. “Sometimes it’s really not easy being a family business in San Francisco.”
The bakery also shared, in light of Pride Month, Le Marais is serving a Pride Crepe and all of the proceeds will be donated San Francisco LGBT Center.
The French-owned bakery is known for its XXL-sized croissants.
Earlier this month, Le Marais Bakery’s Grande Creperie in SF Ferry Building announced it had received the “sudden and unexpected” news that its lease at the building would not be renewed.
