CHICAGO — Two people were injured and three lanes were closed early Sunday morning after a car crashed into an Illinois Department of Transportation truck on the Dan Ryan Expressway.
All lanes reopened just before 7 a.m., Illinois State Police confirmed.
According to a preliminary ISP investigation, a car struck an IDOT truck just before 2:30 a.m. on southbound I-94 at West 83rd Street. Two occupants from the car were taken to an area hospital with injuries, and the left three lanes were closed for about four hours or so.
No update has been given on the condition of the two people injured in the crash, and no other information has been released. ISP says the investigation is ongoing.
