(WHTM) — No course has held the U.S. Open Championship more than Pennsylvania’s Oakmont Country Club.
Since 1927, some of golf’s most historic figures have teed off at the historic course in Allegheny County.
It’s located on along the Allegheny River about 13 miles upriver from Pittsburgh, near the namesake Borough of Oakmont.
The club, which is hosting the 2025 championships, has an almost century-long relationship with the golf competition. It’s hosted the championship a record 10 times.
While the winner has yet to claim victory this year, they will join a rich history of champions crowned at the course.
