Many dogs will be gathered at a local park Saturday morning as they and their owners line up for the Hound Hike presented by Mountain Home Parks and Recreation. The walk will begin at 9 and end at noon and also include a Humane Society of North Central Arkansas Adoption Event from 10 until noon.
The one-mile hike will take place on the Clysta Willett Nature Trail and start at the Keller Park Entrance.
Sayre Whiteley, Recreation Sports and Activities Manager for MH Parks and Rec, says this event will bring awareness to multiple aspects of the parks and Mountain Home.

Not only will the parks themselves be highlighted, but also to show how much dogs are a part of the parks.

Whiteley says the main drive of the event is to show the active dog community in the area.

The event is free to attend and no registration is required, however, for $15 participants can receive a t-shirt if they do register.
