Hawthorne Bridge to close for maintenance later this month

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Hawthorne Bridge will be closed to cars and pedestrians alike on Sunday, June 22.

The bridge will be closed for greasing counterweight cables from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Multnomah County recommends that commuters find alternative routes and plan ahead.

In the case of any weather difficulties, the maintenance will be shifted to June 29th from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
