SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Sunflower Trail & Festival returns this Saturday, June 14th to Highway 3049, north of Shreveport.
The Sunflower Trail offers a breathtaking view of sunflowers. You can take in the beauty by cruising through miles of these gorgeous plants along the nationally recognized 136-mile Boom or Bust Byway.
After making your way down this yellow-colored route, you can enjoy sunflower-themed festivities at Gilliam’s Sunflower Festival, which will be in full bloom in the center of Gilliam from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Just around the corner from Mian Street Café, located at 12807 Main Street, you’ll find vendor booths lined with handmade crafts, artwork, and unique gifts.
This event promises fun and entertainment for the entire family. There’s an area for kids to explore their creativity by making their own arts and crafts!
