BIG COUNTRY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – Seven counties in the Big Country are currently under a burn ban due to fire concerns.
Texas A&M Forest Service has reported that the following counties are currently under a burn ban:
Meteorologists from BigCountryHomepage.com are expressing their concerns about the danger of fire amid the drought conditions in the area.
“Our drought monitor is improving across the Big Country. However, it is improving extremely slowly. Thankfully, we received 2.57 inches of rainfall in June; our average rainfall was 2.93 inches,” said KRBC Meteorologist Carter Vandrasik.
