SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — A generous act of kindness is coming to downtown Shreveport this Friday, June 13.
As part of a community BBQ fundraiser, 130 plates of food will be given away to homeless individuals between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. at 605 Texas Street.
The hot meals, donated by a generous sponsor, are part of a larger two-day BBQ Plate Sale organized by Image Changers, Inc. The event raises funds for the nonprofit’s general operations and various outreach programs across the Shreveport-Bossier area.
While the giveaway is Friday’s highlight, the fundraiser will continue through Saturday, June 14. The sale takes place at 4470 Hilary Hukabee (south side of the old Lo-Mart). In case of rain, it will move to 2850 W. Aline Avenue.
