The event is free and will be on Saturday, June 14, from 12 p.m. – 10 p.m. It will feature 16 bands throughout the day on two stages, with music crossing a range of genres, including rock, pop, funk, and jazz.

The two stages will be the Soundbox venue located inside Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse and the other at the Tesla of Pleasant Grove parking lot.

In addition to a day filled with music, there will also be games, giveaways, food trucks, test drives of the newest Teslas, and more.

The performing musicians are a part of Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse, with groups that compromise of award-winning young musicians who have played alongside well-known artists, including Journey, The Killers, Maroon 5, Neon Trees, AC/DC, and more.

“There’s nothing better to celebrate summer weather, which is finally here, than live music. We’ve got all these incredible bands at Soundhouse; over 200 young musicians who are the best in the nation,” he said. “… We thought, what a great way to make sure that all of our Utah families and people in the community get a chance to hear all of these incredible groups. Making it free, it’s our way to thank the community and just a great event for families to get out to and enjoy the weather.”

Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse has been around for 27 years, training students in music and performance.

“These young musicians are learning not just to be able to make great music, but to be able to connect with an audience and be confident getting up on stage,” he said.

Just three weeks ago, Chapman said, three of the bands set to play this Saturday were performing in Puerto Vallarta for over 10,000 people.

“When young people have the ability and the opportunity to develop those skills, it really sets them up for success in life and whatever they choose to pursue after high school — whether that’s a career as a lawyer, or business, or the medical field, or as a musician. They really take out of this training a real self-confidence and self-esteem that I think is hard to come by in other things. That music performance training really sets them up for success in a way that nothing else does,” he said.

Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse is described as the nation’s most award-winning youth music program, providing unique learning opportunities for students from the ages of 10-18. Many of its students have gone on to join popular bands, including Imagine Dragons, The Moth & the Flame, and more.

In addition to live music, Chapman said the show is a great chance for people to learn more and see if the program may be something that interests their kids.

“We would love for everybody to come, enjoy it, have fun with us, and celebrate the summer,” he said.
