SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Swimming pools can be a little hit-or-miss sometimes, but if you’re looking for a swimming pool that won’t disappoint, check out the top-rated pools between Ogden and Provo.

This ranking is based on Google Maps reviews

and is sorted from highest to lowest, and the number of reviews that each listing has on Google Maps. Every pool had a minimum ranking of 4.4 stars.

Provo Recreation Center

The highest-rated swimming pool according to Google Maps is the Provo Recreation Center. The facility features four pools and an aquatic obstacle course.

Inside, there’s a competition pool with 10 lanes and spectator seating. When it’s available, the “NINJACROSS Obstacle Course” hangs over the competition pool. There’s also a deep-water pool that features a rock-climbing wall and diving platform, along with two water slides. The indoor leisure pool has an area for children to play as well as a lazy river where swimmers can drift.

The outdoor pool is open all summer long, Monday – Saturday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The area has a wave ball pool, two large waterslides, and a zero-entry (meaning you can walk right in) kids’ splash pool. For admission information, visit Provo’s website.

Lindon Aquatics Center

The Lindon Aquatics Center was another highly rated pool, and it is just a little north of the Provo Recreation Center. There are seven attractions at the aquatics center, and plenty of shady trees and lounge chairs for those who want to stay out of the water.

Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center

The Kearns Oquirrh Park Fitness Center has an indoor pool available year-round and an outdoor pool that opens up in May most years. The indoor pool features slides, a lazy river, and a children’s play area. Their outdoor swim pool is called Chomper’s Cove and features a splash pool, recreation pool, and diving pool.

The splash pool has a dumping bucket that drops over 1,000 gallons of water from a 36-foot-tall structure. It also features water slides, spray toys, and a waterfall. Their shallow pools are meant for children and have a play area. The diving pool features several diving boards and a 7.4-meter dive tower. The outdoor pool at the North Shore Aquatic Center is the highest-rated pool in Weber County. Although it doesn’t feature as many attractions as some pools on this list, it’s consistently well-liked among visitors.

The Roy Aquatic Center is another popular swimming pool in Weber County. This outdoor pool features a water slide, a splash pool with toy structures, and diving boards. According to their Facebook, a new toy structure opened this year and is available to play on.

The Northwest Recreation Center in Salt Lake City features an indoor leisure pool and lap pool. The leisure pool has three slides, interactive play features like mounted squirt-guns, and a play structure. There are also vortex and current channel pools to help build resistance or float along.

The South Davis Recreation District has indoor and outdoor pools available to beat the summer heat. Most of the outdoor area is very shallow, with a splashpad and a pirate ship structure that children can play on. West Valley City Family Fitness Center

The final entry on this list is the pool at the West Valley City Family Fitness Center. This indoor aquatic center features a leisure pool and a lap pool. According to their website, the water slide inside the facility is 32 feet tall. A play area for young children and a splash structure are located on one side, while the slightly deeper section is used for the slide exit.
