St. Joe’s Prep’s Production of ‘Young Frankenstein’

St. Joe’s Prep’s Cape and Sword Drama Society has a long history of crowd-pleasing productions. That tradition continued this May with their performance of “Young Frankenstein”, based on the Mel Brooks comedy of the same name.

Led by director Tony Braithwaite, the society’s goal was to create a meaningful relationship with the audience through their production. As Braithwaite says, “If you have fun, the audience will have fun. That is the deal.”

With performances from students like St. Joe’s senior Will Vokolos in the role of Dr. Frankenstein, sharp direction from Braithwaite, alongside assistants Steve Dierkes and Tom Lederer, and a skilled technical crew led by Elliot Buraso, Cape and Sword’s production of Young Frankenstein delivered exactly what they promised; a comedic spectacle that left audiences thoroughly entertained.
