Man accused of filming woman inside bathroom of Mississippi Kroger

TUPELO, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was arrested after he was accused of filming a woman inside a bathroom at a Mississippi Kroger.

Tupelo police responded to the Kroger on West Main Street on June 9 after receiving a call about a man following a woman into the restroom and filming her with his cellphone.

When officers arrived, they arrested the suspect, who was identified as Jairo L. Ramirez, 28, of Tupelo.

On June 10, Ramirez was charged with one count of secretly photographing for lewd purposes or invading the privacy for photographing. He was ordered to be held without bond by a judge.

Police said the case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury. A hold was also placed on Ramirez by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
