Louisiana man charged with child porn; 500K bond set
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An online tip led to the arrest of a Plaquemine man charged with 10 counts of child porn.
The Louisiana Attorney General’s Office and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations joined the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office ICAC Task Force on this case.
Paul Cavalier, 60, was identified as a suspect accused of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material. LPSO said the files included children under the age of 13.
Cavalier was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on Tuesday, June 3. According to inmate records, he is being held on a $500,000 bond.
The investigation remains ongoing. Deputies said more charges are possible after forensic evaluations are conducted.
