Lori Vallow Daybell found guilty in Arizona conspiracy to commit murder trial

PHOENIX, Ariz. (ABC4) — After only a few hours of deliberation, the jury in Lori Vallow Daybell’s conspiracy trial in Arizona has reached a verdict.

Daybell was found guilty on charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder of Brandon Boudreaux, her former nephew-in-law, who was shot in October 2019.

The jury began deliberations on Wednesday afternoon and only deliberated for a few minutes before going home for the day, according to reporting from East Idaho News. Jurors returned to deliberations at 10 a.m. this morning, and it was announced they had reached their verdict just after 11:30 a.m.

In 2023, Daybell, 51, was given five life sentences in Idaho after she was found guilty of murder and conspiracy to commit murder of her children Joshua “JJ” Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ryan, 16. She was also convicted to commit murder in the death of Tammy Daybell, the ex-wife of her husband, Chad Daybell.

Earlier this year, another Arizona jury also found Daybell guilty of conspiracy to commit murder of her husband, Charles Vallow, who was shot and killed in July 2019.

In the latest chapter of the Lori Vallow Daybell trials, Daybell was found guilty of conspiring with her late brother, Alex Cox, to kill Boudreaux outside of his Gilbert home in 2019. Boudreaux said he went to the gym, then came home, and as he was waiting for his garage door to open, a nearby Jeep opened its window and fired a gun.

Daybell represented herself through her trial, and at one point was asked to leave the room after an argument with the judge in which she raised her voice in discussing whether her “good character” could later be presented before the court.
