Liberty sets up home and home football series with Louisiana

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Liberty Flames football program is adding another top group of five opponent to their future schedules. LU will play Louisiana in a home and home series.
The Flames will host the Ragin Cajuns in Lynchburg on Saturday, September 23, 2028. Liberty will head to Lafayette four years later on Saturday, September 25, 2032. Louisiana is 2-0 all time against LU with their last meeting in 2021 at Williams Stadium. The series with Louisiana will give the Flames series matchups against three Sun Belt Conference schools in the future. The Flames have previously announced a six-game series with James Madison and a four-game series with Coastal Carolina.
