MONROE, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On June 12, the Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) announced the arrest of 38-year-old LaCrystal Decatur of Monroe, La.
According to authorities, Decatur is a former Social Service Counselor at the Swanson Center for Youth in Monroe, and she was accused of engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a youth offender.
An internal investigation revealed a questionable relationship on May 13, 2025. Decatur’s termination is effective immediately, and she has been employed with OJJ since September 2024.
Decatur was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center for malfeasance in office- sexual misconduct.
