The program currently includes two awareness training classes specifically tailored for churches, synagogues, and mosques.
According to the sheriff’s office, the instructor will discuss Louisiana laws regarding concealed carry in religious settings, procedures for carrying concealed weapons in these facilities, security recommendations for your place of worship, and how to develop effective emergency plans.
The classes will take place at Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Safetytown on July 9 at 6:00 p.m. and at University Church of Christ on August 13 at 6:00 p.m.
