Basketball star Cameron Woodall dies in 4-wheeler crash

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A former basketball star for Raymond High School and Tougaloo College died during a 4-wheeler accident.

Interim Hinds County Coroner Jeramiah Howard said Cameron Woodall, 26, died during a crash on Midway Road in Raymond just before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7.

According to Howard, Woodall and another person were riding 4-wheelers when they collided. Woodall died at the scene, and the other person was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. 

Tougaloo College will honor Woodall’s life at Woodworth Chapel at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12.
