ASL Executive Director Sharon Strong says “Supporting students has always been the cornerstone of our mission at the lottery. We’ve seen for the past fifteen years how Arkansans have benefited from the scholarships we fund, and we’re excited to keep up the good work. Everyone wins when students succeed.”
The deadline to apply for the scholarship this year is July 1. Arkansas residents attending either two-year or four-year in-state colleges and universities are able to apply.
Strong says “Regardless of whether you’re a high school senior or you’re re-enrolling after some time away, this scholarship is for you.”
Another scholarships ASL funds include the Arkansas Workforce Challenge Scholarship, designated for students seeking training and certification in high-demand fields, and the ACCESS to Acceleration program, which supports students enrolled in college courses during high school and will replace the Concurrent Challenge Scholarship.
Scholarships funded through ASL are awarded by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. For more information about the eligibility requirements for these scholarships or to apply, visit sams.adhe.edu or call 501-371-2000.
