By rssfeeds-admin NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — This month, WGNO will celebrate its parent company, Nexstar’s, Founder’s Day of Caring by volunteering at a local nonprofit.
Every year, Nexstar stations across the country celebrate the day in June by giving back and volunteering as a way to say thank you to their local communities.
WGNO will be volunteering at Giving Hope NOLA’s West Bank and East Bank locations on Monday, June 16, and Friday, June 20.
According to the organization’s website, Giving Hope is a nonprofit that offers food, clothing, shelter and fellowship to those in need in the Greater New Orleans area. Part of Giving Hope’s efforts include distributing groceries to families.
WGNO volunteered with Giving Hope in 2023 and 2024. Staff members will assist with stocking food items, loading, unloading and helping clients with food boxes.
