Warmer weather means more active snakes, according to California State Parks. With summer approaching, Mount Diablo State Park has provided a list of snake safety tips for hikers and park-goers.
“As the weather warms up, snakes are out and about,” Mount Diablo State Park shared on social media. “When you visit, you may see one like the well-fed and camouflaged rattlesnake [shown in the photo provided by MDSP]. King snakes, gopher snakes, and garter snakes are some of the others who call the park home.”
