According to the Philadelphia Police Department’s Crash Investigation Division, two vehicles struck a 3-year-old boy after he ran into the street as he was being placed into his family’s car, police said.
The hit and run occurred on June 5 at 9 p.m. at the intersection of 33rd Street and Susquehanna Avenue.
Police say they believe the boy was hit by an SUV and also by a white pickup truck.
Both vehicles fled the scene and did not stop to render aid.
The boy was taken to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he received treatment for his injuries and was later released
Police say the SUV was last seen in the area of 32nd and Diamond Streets.
