This morning, the Salt Lake City Department of Airports officially extended a public invitation to see “The New SLC” without an airline ticket. The open house event, officially deemed “Passport to SLC,” will occur on Saturday, June 28th at 5 P.M.
“The New SLC” refers to the millions of dollars of renovations that has gone into the airport over the last decade.
The event is said to give the public a chance “to spend an evening exploring the shops and restaurants while taking in the evening summer glow at the airport.”
Registration opens on June 13th at 8 A.M. The deadline to RSVP is June 23rd.
According to Nancy Volmer, Public Information Officer for SLC International, “those who RSVP will provide their legal name and birthdate and will arrive at the airport and check in then go through the TSA checkpoint just as if they were traveling. We will have opportunities for those wanting to participate in a tour of the public area to learn more about what’s new and what’s coming to do so as well.”
Tickets are limited to four per registrant.
