Coach Stephanie White to miss Fever’s contest with Sky on Saturday

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Fever will be without their head coach — Stephanie White — during their matchup against the Chicago Sky on Saturday.

In a press release, the Fever indicated that White would miss the contest due to “personal reasons.” Assistant coach Austin Kelly will serve as the team’s acting head coach in White’s absence.

White was hired by the Fever ahead of the 2025 season. She replaced Christie Sides, who guided the Fever to a 20-20 record in 2024.

In seven games this season, White has coached the Fever to a 3-4 record.

White is not the only key piece Indiana will be missing on Saturday . Guard Caitlin Clark will miss her fourth consecutive game with a quad injury. Forward Sophie Cunningham will sit out for a second straight game with an ankle injury.

Saturday’s Fever-Sky game will tip off at 8 p.m. at the United Center in Chicago. The game will air live on CBS4.
