2 people hospitalized after San Francisco structure fire

(KRON) – Two people were sent to the hospital with injuries after a structure fire on Saturday in San Francisco, according to the San Francisco Police Department. 

The fire occurred at 41 Jones St., which is a seven-story structure that has residential units above commercial space. The flames began due to a lithium-ion battery scooter on the sixth floor, according to the department.

Firefighters rescued two adults. Paramedics took the victims to a local burn center for serious injuries.

The fire has since been knocked down. According to SFPD, residents were able to return to the building on Saturday.
