14-year-old girl struck by vehicle in Lehi dies at hospital

LEHI, Utah (ABC4) — The 14-year-old girl who was struck by a vehicle in front of the Lehi Rodeo grounds on May 30th has died in the hospital from her injuries.

Jenna Sharp was at Primary Children’s Hospital after being struck by a vehicle while leaving a church dance. Her family confirmed that she died there Saturday.

A statement from a GoFundMe, organized by a family friend, says, “after days of heartbreak, prayer, and unimaginable sorrow, Jenna has passed away.”

The statement goes on to describe Jenna as “loyal, kind, spunky, and full of light.”

Jenna, in one final act of selflessness, became an organ donor, “potentially saving the lives of six people and improving the lives of dozens more.”

“Surrounded by her family, she gave the most incredible gift — the gift of life. Her brave and beautiful spirit lives on in those she helped, and her legacy of love will never be forgotten.”
