Ochsner Children’s ranked among top pediatric hospitals in 2025

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Ochsner Children’s has been named one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals for 2025, according to a ranking released by Newsweek and Statista Inc.

The recognition highlights Ochsner’s excellence in several pediatric specialties, including cardiology and cardiac surgery, neonatology, and pulmonology.

The hospital is the only children’s hospital in Louisiana recognized in neonatology. It is also the most awarded pediatric hospital in the state, Ochsner said.

“At Ochsner Children’s, our teams move mountains to deliver exceptional care and experiences for every child and their family,” said Dana Bledsoe, CEO of Ochsner Children’s.

The Newsweek list ranks the top hospitals in eight pediatric subspecialties using data from hospital quality metrics, nationwide surveys of healthcare professionals, patient experience surveys, and a voluntary Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) implementation survey.
