Man injured after deputy-involved shooting in Parkrose Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A Multnomah County Sheriff’s Deputy shot and injured a man in the Parkrose Neighborhood Friday, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital and no police officers or deputies were injured, officials said.

PPB said the incident happened in the 4600 block of Northeast 116th Avenue.

The investigation is ongoing and a portion of the street has been closed on Northeast Sandy Boulevard between Northeast 112th Avenue and Northeast 118th Avenue. In addition, Northeast 116th Avenue is closed between Northeast Sandy Boulevard and Northeast Prescott Street.
