Hardin escaped May 25 from the North Central Unit at Calico Rock. Since then, the Sheriff’s Office and other agencies have been conducting coordinated roadblocks and search efforts throughout the area.
“We understand that some members of the public have expressed frustration regarding the inconvenience caused by this,” Melton said. “These measures are taken solely out of concern for public safety.”
Sheriff Melton assured residents in the post that the search will continue until officials are confident Hardin no longer poses a threat to the community.
Anyone who sees anything suspicious is urged to call 911, contact the Izard County Sheriff’s Office at (870) 368-4203, or reach out to the FBI or U.S. Marshals tip line.
