2 teens injured, 1 critically, in downtown Rockford shooting

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Two teens were wounded by gunfire in downtown Rockford on Saturday, Rockford Police reported.

Officers were called to the 1200 block of Revell Avenue for reports of shots fired around 3:45 p.m.

Authorities found a 19-year-old victim with life-threatening injuries upon arrival.

A local hospital also had an 18-year-old victim walk in for gunshot wounds, police reported.

Officials asked the public to avoid the area.
