By rssfeeds-admin “Really excited, amped up, a little anxious for the game even though we’re a day early, but super excited to go out there and just play with the boys and it’s gonna be a lot of fun,” junior Jace Elrod said. “We’ve been talking about this game our entire lives, but this week I’ve heard about this game more times than I can count, so it’s gonna be something special.”
This group of Hawks have played baseball together almost their whole lives, making this opportunity extra special.
“We’ve grown up playing together since we were, I mean, 3rd, 4th grade. We played travel ball our whole lives with each other, so it means a lot,” junior Walker Wright said. “I wouldn’t want to do it with any other group. We put a lot of work in this this offseason and then into the season, so I’m really happy for it.”
Pleasant Grove plays Calallen for the 4A-DI state championship on Friday, June 6. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
