Winn Parish authorities seize large amount of meth, fentanyl, more narcotics during search warrant

WINN PARISH (KTVE/KARD) — Following a lengthy investigation by the Winn Parish Sheriff’s Office concerning the distribution of Fentanyl, deputies obtained an arrest warrant on June 4, 2025, for Keyondrick Mills of Winnfield, La. Before serving the warrants, Mills allegedly fled Winn Parish in a red Camaro bearing Texas plates.

According to deputies, they were able to track Mills as he crossed the state line, entering Texas. Winn deputies notified Texas State Troopers, who were able to locate Mills on I-20 in Van Zandt County, Texas. Texas Troopers apprehended Mills on the Winn Parish warrants and additional drug charges. Mills is currently being held in Van Zandt County detention center, awaiting extradition back to Winn.

Once Mills was arrested, Winn Parish deputies executed search warrants at two of his Winnfield residences, including one at Dunbar Street. During the search, authorities located 100 Fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, 45 OxyContin pills, 31 hydrocodone pills, 340.9 grams of mojo, $2,225, and counterfeit money, with the drugs totaling a street value of $12,600.

After locating the evidence, deputies collected, weighed, and secured it in evidence containers for submission to the crime lab for analysis, with results pending. Additional warrants will be obtained based on evidence collected at the residence.

To those involved in illegal drug activity, particularly the distribution, transportation, or use of fentanyl, I strongly encourage you to reconsider your actions. We are taking firm and deliberate steps to protect the safety and well-being of our Parish. Fentanyl is claiming far too many lives, and I am tired of having to deliver the heartbreaking news to families that their loved one will not be coming home due to a fatal overdose.
