Rockford man accused of attacking a 10-year-old with a belt
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Rockford Police arrested Macus Moton, 32, for allegedly hitting a 10-year-old with a belt.

On March 5, the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS) received reports that a child was being abused. The 10-year-old was taken to OSF Saint Anthony’s Hospital with visible injuries.

Moton struck the victim seven times with the belt after he refused to clean his room, according to court records.

The suspect was booked into the Winnebago County Jail on June 5th.

He is charged with aggravated battery of a child that caused bodily harm and domestic battery that caused physical contact.
