Retired football star Jason Kelce gives shoutout to ‘incredible’ Oregon restaurant

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A famous Kelce brother — no, not Travis — has sung the praises of a small Oregon eatery.

Jason Kelce visited North Bend’s Pancake Mill Restaurant and Pie Shoppe on Wednesday. The former Philadelphia Eagles player shared a glowing review of the business to his nearly three million Instagram followers, and even compared a dish to one that his mother Donna Kelce used to cook.

“Found this incredible spot on the side of the road,” Kelce wrote about the restaurant, which opened in 1981. “Service was patient, food was great, nick-nacks for sale, adorable, great pancakes, and cream cheese pie. Donna used to make a strawberry cream cheese pie growing up, so it felt extra special. If you catch yourself out this way, enjoyed this quaint spot very much.”

The former center played for Philadelphia for the entirety of his 13-year career in the National Football League before retiring in 2024. Kelce helped the Eagles secure a spot in two Super Bowls, with one victory in 2018 and an infamous loss against the Kansas City Chiefs — his brother’s team — in 2022.

He currently co-hosts the sports-focused “New Heights” podcast with Travis, who dates pop star Taylor Swift. Jason also welcomed his fourth baby girl with his wife Kylie in April.
