It’s been about seven years since “Tha Carter V” was released, and Wayne will be performing at Madison Square Garden on Friday to start his summer tour, the day his new album “Tha Carter VI” drops, Lil Wayne announced Tuesday.
“Tha Carter VI Tour” heads to more than 30 North American cities with stops in Bristow, Virginia; Virginia Beach, Virginia; Atlantic City, New Jersey; Holmdel, New Jersey; Hartford, Connecticut; Mansfield, Massachusetts; Syracuse, New York; Buffalo, New York; Toronto, Ontario; Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Cincinnati, Ohio; Noblesville, Indiana; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Detroit, Michigan; Tinley Park, Illinois; Kansas City, Missouri; Phoenix; Arizona; Ridgefield, Washington; Seattle, Washington; Mountain View, California; Sacramento, California; Chula Vista, California; Los Angeles, California; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Austin, Texas; Dallas, Texas; Houston, Texas; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Huntsville, Alabama; Charlotte, North Carolina; Memphis, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia; and Orlando, Florida before wrapping up in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Oct. 2.
Tyga will be opening for Lil Wayne alongside Atlanta rapper Belly Gang Kushington in his first tour. NoCap will also be performing at some of the shows.
Artist presale tickets go on sale Wednesday, June 4 at 10 a.m. General public tickets go on sale Friday, June 6 at 10 a.m. for all shows except Madison Square Garden, which you can get tickets for now.
Wayne’s anticipated next album, “Tha Carter VI,” drops on June 6. His 12th studio album, “Tha Carter V,” was released in 2018, followed by “Funeral” in 2020.
