Level 2 ‘Be Set’ evacuations issued for Euston Fire in Central Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Level 2 “Be Set” evacuations have been issued for the Euston Fire north of Redmond in Central Oregon.

People in the area asked to be prepared to evacuate at a moment’s notice.

“A temporary evacuation point has been established at Highland Baptist Church at 31000 SW Highland Avenue in Redmond,” officials said.

On Tuesday evening, the fire grew from about 1 acre to 15 acres and continues moving south, according to a Central OR Fire Info post on X.

Deschutes County Emergency has more information about current evacuation maps for the Euston Wildfire.

The fire is located northwest of Redmond and began around 4:20 p.m. near Euston Lane as a grass and brush fire, according to Central Oregon Fire Info.

The interagency fire crew response has included nine engines, a hotshot crew and a large air tanker, officials said.
