According to a news release, Flying Dolly’s was founded by Jeff and Corey Robinson in partnership with the Mutter family. They said they wish to make Rivertown a destination for families throughout the region.
“We’re proud to be a sweet compliment to such a vibrant and growing food scene,” said Corey Robinson. “But more than that, we hope to be a spark — a catalyst — for even more small businesses to come here and thrive.”
The shop rotates through 16 flavors from a larger catalog of 65 house-made varieties. These include their Honeycomb flavor and can be paired with stuffed snowballs.
“Keeping everything ‘in the Parish’ was important to us,” said Jeff Robinson. “We want to invest in the people, the talent and the culture that makes this region special.”
There are four other Flying Dolly’s locations, one in New Orleans, one in Mandeville and two in Mississippi. The company plans to open another in Mobile, Alabama and is exploring more opportunities in New Orleans and Jefferson Parish. The company is also interested in franchising.
