The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies were dispatched nearly nine miles south of London in response to a complaint about a woman shooting a gun while walking along the highway.
While heading to the scene of the shooting, deputies were told that Rebecca Warren, 42, of Corbin, had been arrested by the Corbin Police Department.
According to an arrest citation, Warren allegedly admitted to shooting a gun in the air several times in a parking lot and along the highway.
Warren was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and discharging a firearm across a public road.
The shooting investigation remains ongoing.
