Evolutions Trading announced on its Facebook page that the store was broken into at approximately 1:40 a.m. Monday. The suspect entered the business by smashing a window and stole an estimated $100,000 worth of vintage Pokémon cards, as well as cash. Among the high-value items taken were a Skyridge Umbreon, a Gold Star Charizard and a FireRed LeafGreen Charizard EX.
The business says this is a devastating moment for them, as they have poured their hearts into building a space for collectors, players, and the Killeen community. Evolutions Trading will be closed for the next few days as damages are assessed. They are working with law enforcement, and attempting to recover what was stolen.
If you see any of the cards pictured above being sold or hear anything suspicious, you can contact Evolutions Trading at 254-922-3202 or the Killeen Police Department at 254-501-8800.
